Jane H. Ball scrapbook, 1900-1929.

Scrapbook compiled by Jane H. Ball contains clippings, a printed leaflet, notes, and an essay. Clippings contain information about South Carolina lowcountry art and architecture. A leaflet advertises the Oaks Plantation (Goose Creek, S.C.). Notes in the front and back of the volume written by John Johnson include "New Materials," a list of individual and places to "Inquire of or Write to, " "Memoranda of annotations original additions &c., " "Mem. of parts to be omitted, " and "Memoranda of New Maps & illustrations." Also includes an eight page carbon copy typescript of Mrs. H.G. Hughes' essay (1913) on "Historic houses in Charleston."
